Am I Blacklisted??

At Blacklisted Loans we often hear from customers who tell us that they think they're Blacklisted or on a financial Blacklist. Often people think that because they have CCJs, defaults or missed payments in the past, that they are instantly Blacklisted and therefore unable to obtain credit. Another common one we hear is "my house is blacklisted", therefore the customer presumes they cannot get credit anywhere....

The truth is.... there is no Blacklist and you can't really get blacklisted as such. People generally use the term to describe their credit situation or credit history - but however bad your credit history is, there is almost always a product available to you (either to help repair your credit history, or to provide you with the finance you need).

Essentially it is up to each company or financial institution to decide whether you are eligible for their loans, credit cards and other financial products. They normally do this either by calculating a 'score' based around your credit history, or my looking at your credit history on an individual basis, however, there are companies who won't even need to look at your credit history and instead will lend you money based on other factors.
